This will be the first of a series of workshops focusing on the use of color pencils as a panting tool just like pastels.

Day 1: Introduction to materials and teacher demonstration from a simple still life. Students will apply new color pencil concepts using still lives for the rest of the session. 
 
Day 2: The session will start with a shorter demonstration adding new layering techniques using a landscape photograph as a guide. Advanced students are welcome to work from portrait photographs. Future color pencil workshops will be focused on both landscape and portrait drawing.
