My Story

My name is Eddie Nino and I am an artist in Norwalk, Connecticut. I grew up in Bogota, Colombia where my love of drawing earned me the nickname, “Artista”. When I moved to the United States, I continued to draw, paint, and create whenever I could. My restless need for immersing myself in art lead me to Andrew Reiss in Brooklyn ( with whom I studied with for over 15 years), The Art Student's League of New York, The Grand Central Atelier (Academy at that time), and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. It meant hour long trains rides, working late shifts in a factory but the opportunity to train with such accomplished teachers and serious classmates made it a no brainer.
I am now living my dream as a fine artist while teaching art. I love reading about artists, watching documentaries, and examining and creating art. I guess that nickname says it all: Yo soy artista

Freda Dreany

Andrew Reiss (mentor, life coach, and friend)
* Ted Seth Jacobs - I was NOT a student of his, but after seeing so many of his videos over more than 15 years (with Andy) and knowing his approaches, teachings, and sayings I feel like he is part of my teaching line).
